"PR and media relations" training was held in Bac on May 30th. It is a part of "Prijeko-Preko 2" project, financed by German Marshal Fund. Beneficiaries were members of Youth association UM Bac. They learned how to approach the media, insure media coverage, and how to behave in front of the camera. The aim of the project is to build capacities of members and volunteers, and the next training is planned in July.

Project "Europcici" is coming to its' end with the end of school year. Two primary schools from Vukovar area participated in the project. The aim was to bring European union closer to the youth through quizz, convrsation and games in an interesting and interactive way. Ministry of science, education and sports financed this project. Ministry of foreign affairs and European integration donated free copies of magazine "Eurolimac".

This week, from 25th till 27th of May, Youth Information Workers from Youth Info Centre Vukovar and Regional Youth Info Centre Osijek, went on study visit to Youth Info Centre Sisak. The aim of visit was to get introduced with the work and methodes of work in Youth Info Centre, share the experience and ideas in youth information work, as well as to provide mutual support. By the end of study visit, second meeting of partners involved in the implementation of project, was organized. The goal  was to share the information and experience, as well as to plan the implemenation of activities in the comming third qarter of the project. Both events were organized within the project "All for You", which is supported by EU, through program PHARE 2006.  

...thus, among others, emphasize the needs and stressed the usefulness of establishing the Office for Youth in the City, the importance and role of media in education and informing young people, and the advantages of conducting joint actions and projects which could be closer to young people. But not only discussed in general, but they proposed some concrete actions.

In the weak behind us, trainers of PRONI Centre implemented training for Youth Information Workers from Croatia. Leaders, workers and volunteers of four Regional Youth Information Centers from Osijek, Rijeka, Split and Zagreb, as well as from four Youth Information Centers from Bjelovar, Pula, Sisak and Vukovar, participated on training. The aim of training, implemented in Training Centre Pirovac, on 28th and 29th of April, was to transfer the knowledge from Europe, which trainers from PRONI Centre gained on training for trainers earlier implemented in the premises of Regional Youth Information Centre in Osijek.

PRONI Centre has started with the implemenation of project "Europcici"!

Project is lasting till the end of this school year, and it is intended for the education of children and youth about European Union. In the primary school Nikola Andric in Vukovar and branch school Berak, pupils of three classrooms has opportunity to participate in the quiz about EU and on interesting and for them suitable way, through the games and interaction to find out what does it mean to be the citizen of EU.
Project is financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.

As a part of "All for You" project, which is financed by the EU through program PHARE 2006, in the Youth information centre Sisak and Regional youth information center Osijek, Cross-sectoral advisory boards are established.

The meetings were held in the YIC's premises in Sisak and Osijek, on April 6th and 7th, 2009.

The representatives of different institutions were discussing about young people generally, and about future steps of cooperation focused on high quality and wide range of youth information. Besides that, all of them showed the intention of continuing cooperation even after the official end of this project, having in mind that co-operation have began by implementing this project.

Round table «Youth and Osijek»!

Round table will be organized in the premises of Regional Youth Information Centre Osijek-Ribarska str.1., on Friday the 17th of May, at 12 a.m. By organizing Round table, Info centre will support celebration of European Youth Information Day. 

Aiming at more qualitative informing and counsseling of youth, in the premises of Youth info centre Vukovar, first meeting with representatives of different institutions and NGOs, gathered in Cross-sectoral advisory team, took place. Advisory team strive to improve exchange of information between relevant institutions and NGOs that deal with youth issues, as well as by communication tools of Youth info centre, to enable qualitative and accurate information to young people. Team, established through the project «All for You», which is financed by the EU, through program PHARE 2006, will meet every second month.

In cooperation with Zagreb Law Faculty, Department of Social Work and University of Indiana (USA), School of Social Work, PRONI Centre implements final phase of research related to parental involvement in the work of primary schools and development of community in the City of Vukovar and Municipality of Tompojevci and Borovo.
In this phase, the research will be implemented through the focus group of parents and teachers, as well as through interviews of relevant stakeholders from society, especially from local communities.
The results will be compiled in the following period, while final report will be in June of this year.

We hope that compiled results will contribute to the implementation, as well as starting up of new initiatives in the communities, especially in those one which support parental involvement in the school activities.
