On May 14th 2010 PRONI Centre for Social Education conducted a public presentation of research results on Parental Involvement: A Niche for Social Fabric Renewal in Post-Cenflict Communities. The study was carried out in association with the Faculty of Law, Department of Social Work of University of Zagreb; School of Social Work of Indiana University from the United States of America, and PRONI Center for Social Education from Croatia. The results were presented to the participants by researchers Carmen Luca Sugawara, PhD., and Andjela Delale, PhD. |

Within the project “Youth in the Centre!”, which PRONI Centre implements in partnership with the association Pro comunitate from Chisinau, Moldova, the trainings with young people in 4 rural municipalities in Moldova were implemented. In each municipality in the period from May 12th till 22nd, the trainers from PRONI Centre implemented two-day trainings “Management of Youth Clubs”. Trainings aimed at additional development of young people capacities, as well as providing support in the process of Youth club establishment.

The debates with youth about EU |

PRONI Centre for Social Education, in cooperation with the representatives of the Sisak-Moslavina and Vukovar-Srijem County, and Faculty of Economics in Osijek, has organized public debates with young people within the European Week. A public debate ''Opportunities and rights of young people in acceding countries to the European Union and the EU, and Youth policy in EU countries and Croatia'' has been organized in Sisak Gymnasium on May 4th; a public debate 'Values and standards in the EU'' was implemented in Vukovar-Srijem County premises in Vukovar on May 5th; and a public debate "MOBIS" - Mobility of students was organized on Faculty of Economics in Osijek on May 6th. As the debates were organized within the European Youth Information Day, it also aimed at increasing the level of knowledge and awareness of young people regarding the European Union, and to promote EU values and standards. These debates and other activities are an integral part of the partnership project EUphoria, which is supported by EU, through the program IPA INFO 2008.

Vukovar is ready for writing project proposals |

After completing 40 hours of education implemented in Vukovar within the project "Development of human capacities for preparation and implementation of projects financed from international funds", the Mayor of Vukovar handed out certificates to participants who successfully completed the education. At this occasion, 28 participants presented their project ideas. The purpose of education was to educate as many people as possible for the preparation and implementation of projects financed from pre-accession programs IPA and Structural Funds in the first years after gaining EU membership. The education was implemented by the trainers of PRONI Center, using the methodology of "Project cycle management". |

Social entreprises on one place |

This time, just like in April last year, representatives of the PRONI Centre participated in the Social Entreprise Marketplace in Budapest, organized by NESsT. The Marketplace presents various social enterprises undertaken by NGOs from the region, as well as provided possibility to exchange ideas and experience. Also, the same organizations have also participated in the workshop which was organized the day after, aiming at improvement of the quality of work in the field of marketing and customer relationship management. |

Celebrating European Youth Information Day, within the project EUphoria, financed by the EU through the program IPA INFO 2008, another public debate with young people took place. This time debate was ''Who is a citizen of the EU and what are its values''. It was led by the Head of pre-accession funds of Sisak-Moslavina County, Mrs. Tatjana Puskaric, with the support of the Leader of the Youth Information Centre in Sisak. The debate was held on April 20th 2010 in the premises of Youth info centre in Sisak, and it aimed to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of young people regarding the European Union, as well as to promote standards and values of the EU. |

"Europe and I" is the title of the public debate implemented on 20th of April in the premises of Regional Info centre for youth Osijek. The debate, on which 20 young people participated, aimed at raising the level of informing and awareness among youth about European Union, as well as to promote EU values and standards. Debate was led by experts from The Osijek-baranja development agency, Ms. Mirela Sudaric and Mr. Damir Lajos, which among other, spoke about youth policy and strategies for youth in EU, the role of young people in the decision-making processes, role of media in promotion of EU standards, etc. In order to additionally promote EU values and standards, this event, which is part of the implementation of the project EUphoria, financed by EU through program IPA INFO 2008, was organized within the promotion of European Youth Information Day. |

First fair of institutions and associations for youth of Vukovar |

By promoting European Youth Information Day, on 16th of April in the birth House of Lavoslav Ruzicka in Vukovar, a First fair of institutions and associations for youth of Vukovar, took place. The main aim of the Fair was to raise the awareness of youth about the possibilities and opportunities that are offered for them, as well as to promote the needs and benefits of mutual cooperation in the community to wider public. The fair attended 13 exhibitors, who presented their activities and programs for youth. The fair was opened by Deputy Mayor of Vukovar, Danijela Stankovic stressing that the city of Vukovar gave full support to the organizers in order to include as many young people to participate at the fair. Organizers of the fair along with Proni Centre and The City of Vukovar, were Public institution in culture Croatian Home Vukovar, Croatian Employment Service, Europe House Vukovar and the Vukovar police department.  |

On the occasion of European Youth Information Day, PRONI Centre organized public debate "Youth and the EU", which included 20 high-school pupils from the city of Vukovar. The debate, led by Gabriela Zalac, Head Assistant of Department for international cooperation and capital investment of Vukovar-Sirmium County, was organized in the premises of the birth house of Lavoslav Ruzicka in Vukovar, on April 16th with the aim to increase the level of knowledge and awareness of young people regarding the European Union and to promote EU values and standards. The public debate was implemented within the project EUphoria, which in collaboration with partner organizations Info Zone from Split, Youth Association Step Ahead from Rijeka and Imagine from Zagreb, implements PRONI Centre for Social Education from Osijek. The project is funded by the European Union through program IPA INFO 2008.  |

In the premises of the Regional Youth Info Center Osijek, on 8th of April the annual Assembly of PRONI Center for Social Education was organized. Within the agenda, which included the election of members for official bodies, all present were introduced with annual program and financial report. |
